Mounting dimensions for RCV-12

The dimensions are for the size of the viewing window and the locations of the four, 1/4-20 mounting studs. Location is important. We use PEM studs or nuts pressed into the mounting plate for that reason. Bolts from the backside of the mounting surface with thin nut on the top surface will work but you may have to move them around a bit to get repeatable alignment for easiest mounting.

Mounting dimensions for RCV-12 Felt Liner

At this time the felt liner does not have the viewing window hole cut out of it. Current procedure is to place this piece when the adhesive liner is removed to the indicated dimensions and cut out the window afterward. We place the felt liner first then the perimeter gaskets.

Mounting dimensions for RCV-12 perimeter gaskets

There are two pieces to the perimeter gasket, they are identical. The dimensions locate the outer surface of the gasket relative to the center of the viewing window. This surface contacts the inside surface of the base of the housing making the seal. We first mark the outline per the drawing attached. Then start in one corner removing the adhesive liner and locating the gasket. If you place the gasket lightly, you will be able to remove it for adjustments. With one corner located go to the opposite corner and repeat working toward the first corner. Finish by placing the remainder of the legs going toward the center of the mounting area. Repeat for the second gasket interlocking the dovetails to the first gasket. If all looks good go back and press the gasket down firmly for best adherence.
